About

As a creator of fine art, Joseph Pizzat is an exhibiting artist, art educator, workshop presenter and author whose art has been featured in private collections throughout the United States. His media is nothing short of unique as he follows his muse, and has included oils, acrylics, lacquer paints, and pressure sensitive materials to create collage works.

His work has earned him a spot on the “Who’s Who in American Art” since 1980. His art has been on exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Art, the New Jersey art museums at Montclair, Trenton, and Newark, the Minneapolis Museum of Modern ART, and the Florence Museum in South Carolina.

Joseph’s success as an artist is accompanied by his love for living a full life – a devoted family man, professional tennis athlete, sensitive teacher and hard worker have all been woven into his art forms – both in the details and in the big picture.

“This exhibit is a testament to the value and importance of art, the willingness to follow one’s own muse and the pleasure and promise of beauty.”

- Gary Cardot, Former Mercyhurst College Gallery Director

Requests & Inquiries

Joe —

I don’t create art to please people. I don’t make art to be one of the crowd. I don’t take my art too seriously. I don’t expect it to be accepted by many. I don’t see becoming wealthy financially from it. I don’t live for my art alone.

Yet, I do believe that my art has made my life and some other lives richer, more meaningful, more joyful, and it has given me a sense of purpose beyond myself.

I am blessed.”
